The Lantern Bar & Kitchen Mount Pleasant Hotel

A member of the Woodberry team met with the site owner and manager in this picturesque location to discuss the look and feel they wanted to create. Mount Pleasant hotel is located at the foot of Malvern hills and frequently welcomes walkers looking for something to eat and drink after their walk.

The attractiveness of the location encourages guests to stay for long periods of time making the seating a really important thing to get right. As the customers visiting this space are often coming from muddy walks, the chairs needed to be easy to clean, durable, and practical.

How We Helped

The Indoor Area

Our team shared free product samples of indoor chairs so that the owner and manager could test the product on site. We also shared upholstery options with them. A black and gold check fabric was chosen to complement the mustard yellow wall cladding and dark green walls.

As well as providing high quality chair samples, we supplied some ideas on laminate tops for the pedestal tables. The client decided on a grey textured anthracite colour which worked well with the chairs and the room décor.

The indoor furniture was a mix of table height, and bar-height ranges, to cater to events while also offering seating options that are good for food and drink.

Whilst on site, we drew sketches of both the indoor and outdoor areas and transferred these to design layouts to plot exact quantities of furniture needed. This service was all free of charge. We then organised both delivery and installation of the furniture, laying out on site, and removing all the packaging.

This was booked in on a day that the client wanted, but was within 3 weeks from point of order.

The Outdoor Area

As well as indoors, our team helped the establishment with their outdoor space.

We shared samples of 4-leg,  central pedestal tables, and coloured outdoor chairs. The client required a mix of furniture to cater to their customers different needs. They used circular 6-seater picnic tables, which have space for wheelchair and pushchair access, as well as pedestal table dining sets. The furniture was used on their multi-tier deck to create different zones.
